Nook’d

One thing that’s been frustrating to watch is how much of the discourse surrounding e-readers has largely been centered on the user experience and technical specs, with only throwaway lines about the political and cultural ramifications of competing platforms.  Of late, I’ve noticed colleagues and other literati asking for recommendations on Facebook (iPad v. Kindle v. Nook) without paying much attention to the politics of each format. But the choice of platform, as the article below highlights, sometimes have comically absurd consequences–a ctrl+p keystroke gone awry.
